That's right, last weekend I went to my first anime convention! It was so much fun!! I've read about conventions (and watched tons of con videos) but I had never been to one so I was totally excited to go! But I didn't go alone, , her sister, and another friend of ours went (we were decked out in beautiful Kimono x3) It was such great fun - I know what I'm doing next year during Spring Break!!! >3<

On a totally unrelated note, I've recently become crazy obsessed with this new anime show called "Axis Powers Hetalia" to the point where I think it's getting unhealthy. The show is pretty much all of our world's history squashed into 5 min episodes, with adorable characters representing each country. Italy (or Italia as hes called in the show) is the main character from which the name derives (Hetalia - - "hetare" means "useless" in Japanese, while "Italia" means "Italy") which is a joke about how Italy was pretty much useless in all of our world's history. 5clamp sums this fact up quite nicely:

"Italy...your greatest gift to mankind was the pizza oven. You pretty much failed from then on"

Me being a bit of a history buff (for I do love world history and current events) I couldn't help but pick this show up. Plus, its a comedy with adorable characters (which is an instant plus) so I really couldn't not watch it lol. Oh goodness, I'm so addicted~~
